1.0 Can't get through gate after defeating lieutenants

I've defeated both of the lieutenants of the Sorcerer King. The quest says that I need to take my best army to defeat the sorcerer king.

 

The only problem is that the gate is still impasable. I have both keys and have defeated all the Sorcerer King's troops.

I found I had to right-click on the gate with an army that included a champion, in order to activate the unlock screen.  If you did this and it still didn't work, sorry.

I have had problems with this also.  I found if i move off and back on to the trigger tile it worked >> sometimes it took doing this more than once

It took reloading the game and walking back across the square in front of the gate again.
