I disliked that the Yor were the only standard Synthetic race, and are Malevolent. The blue lighting (and I know there's a red counterpart) will probably edge me to making them Benevolent rather than Pragmatic, and I'll probably build the faction as highly pacifist and research focused. Now if only the Yor tech tree wasn't constantly referencing the Yor, or the total extermination of organic life.

Suggestions on a name? The few references in the game files refer to these as 'News Bots' or 'Test Bots', but that seems uninspired for a race name. Do these 'bots, and the fact that they diligently serve any race with research and administration tasks, have any basis in GalCiv lore already? I suspect they they were just a way to avoid animating a race specific researcher for every standard race.
