I would like to be able to turn off the default ship designs from the get go. I know you can just mark them as obsolete right now or as the game plays out.

But If I know I do not want to use them for the race I'm going to be playing then why not turn them off at the start of the game.

It would also save me a lot of clutter in the ship list. Leave the user designed ships on and just be able to turn off the core ships.

I usually play the terrain race and use ships designed by me or other players. I really don't find most of the prebuilt ships attractive.

I'm sure there is a way already through modding XML files but it would be extremely nice to just be able to turn them off by checking a box on setup.
