Where are the beyond mortality components once the tech is researched?

i have just finished researching beyond mortality, and according to the unlocks i should have a load of new precursor stuff to play around with, but i cant seem to find where they have gone, had a look in the ship designer and they werent there. wasnt sure if it was bugged so reloaded and still not there.

anyone else come across this problem? or am i missing something obvious here?

A lot of that precursor stuff is fleet bonuses, which don't show up on modules in the designer (for some lame reason). The bane is something like +15 flat to everything and +50% to everything (weapons and defenses that is) iirc.

I am bumping this because all of this is missing in my current game (started in 1.3 and I am on 1.41 now). Games I played with previous patches had these items and they're nowhere to be found. I finished researching beyond mortality probably 100 or more turns ago but just got around to designing new ships.

Shifty, in order for the components to unlock you MUST complete each of the 'tech victory techs' even if you don't have a tech victory enabled. So you need the research, the culture, and the precursor one.

 

Once you have all three done the actual components will show up in the designer. Oh and they are a hoot to play with...
