First I want to say that the Ship designer is leagues ahead of Gal Civ 2 and I have already spent hours just playing with the pre-designs alone. Great job!
Suggestion though; I think it would be a good idea that the meter should display the decimal totals (ie. if there is 144.2 out of 150 capacity used then it should display 144.2 not 144).
I agree, you have 5 left, ok we start with 5 point version, nope, ok 4.8, nope, 4.6, yep we have a winner.
