Hi there,
first of all I have to say that Sorcerer King is quite an awesome game. Spent about 8 hours finishing a small map. I had quite a blast playing!
Nevertheless I want to do my part in helping you guys to find/fix some bugs:
1. Peregan the Ranger
- his Power Shot doesn't scale with his attack strength. Don't know if that's on purpose, but after I'd leveled him up a bit and put some decent gear on him there was no need in ever using Power Shot (or his other attack abilities to some extent) because they were still doing about 12-15 damage when his regular attack would do about 40-50.
- I'm not sure if it was also his Power Shot ability or another one, but occasionally I couldn't use a skill of his with the message "you need to target an enemy" even if i did do that.
2. Bif the Archer (or something like that)
- I got this guy for a quest reward and he was really really bad compared to Peregan (ok, that's understandable since he isn't a hero) but also compared to the regular archers/snipers I trained in my city. Actually I didn't care much when he died at some point since it freed up a slot for someone else. I don't know if this is on purpose, but I think quest reward units should always be better or at least equal to the ones I can build hundreds of in my cities.
3. Esperaza the Necromancer
- She isn't able to equip another staff; I assume she doesn't have the actuall staff wielding skill. I had to reload a save game once I accidently gave her a shield (which unequipped her staff, which I then couldn't equip again). This may be true for other mages/staff wielders.
- I buffed her Spell Mastery like hell and the tool tip for her Arcane Arrow said it'd do 40 damage but when used it was always capped at 15 damage.
4. Adam the Swamp Giant
- first of all, I don't know if you guys chose his name on purpose (I know you're looking for a better one). It might be because of that Adam-PR-guy who's hosting the streams though... But there is a historical figure, Adam Riese ('Riese' is German for 'giant') who was a mathematician, which is quite funny if you compare that to the usually more simple minded giants...
- for the bugs though: it's really really hard to click on a space behind him on the battle map. I often had to scroll the camera around and put him near a corner of my view so I could find a tiny spot where it would let me click the space behind him instead of him.
- his Smite ability would not trigger an attack animation on him.
5. General
- often the battle map spaces on the far upper right side were really hard to click on. I had to position the curser on a tiny spot on the lowest part of the space for the game to recognize it.
- the exclamation mark event notifications next to the end turn button would not automatically disappear when the reason for them (i.e. enemies on my territory) was already dealt with. Instead they would not show or do anything when clicked on.
- sometimes when zooming in and out on the strategic map, the map would only render the terrain but no props or armies on them. I had to zoom out to the cloth map and zoom in again to solve that.
- on various units the 'X'es on the main and off hand equipment slots would sometimes be shown and sometimes not (I still wasn't able to equip an item I wasn't supposed to though).
- choosing diplomatic demands, like spells, mana, units or map secrets sometimes resulted in just an empty rewards window without the actual item you requested.
- not really a bug but maybe an improvement: In tactical battles the abilities of a unit should not be mixed with the abilities of consumables. Maybe put the unit abilites first and cosumables after that. It makes finding abilties easier.
- having a pioneer in a group with other units removes the 'pass' button from the available options of the army since it's replaced by the 'explore' action.
- something minor: sometimes when roads would do a sharp turn, their graphic would show some kind of a roundabout for no reason.
Once again, I didn't write this to complain, but to help. Most of the stuff I've listed might already be on someones list, but if just one point isn't, I'm happy I could help. I absolutely love this game! Keep up the good work!
