Hi! My laptop died and I was unable to play for a while. But I have tried to keep up with some forum reading and you-tubed Twitch streams.
The game looks good so far. And it looks great on modern hardware!
Here are some thoughts after playing 2.5 games on normal settings (Guardian, Wizard and now Tinkerer, all normal settings, random world). If I mention something already addressed by fellow fans or devs, my apologies!
1- Please give us a highlighted outline of Outpost coverage. My 46 y/o eyes can count spaces, but oy! Iron tower improvement is missed!
2- As you buff up materials, please give higher quality gems the ability to add additional effects, like slow for cold/ice gems, burning for rubies, poisoning for emeralds, etc.
3- The Dwarven rampage ability is very cool, but somehow it can be interrupted by certain units, or is it max moves for the hero?... not sure what is doing it.
4- Please make a garrison and army slot in the city screen so I can easily one-click move my army out after healing or bolstering a siege.
5- The victory/defeat screen should be bigger so I don't have to scroll up or down units, it could be 90% of the screen as you dim the background anyway.
6- I discovered by accident that a unit passing it's turn buffs its defense like the good old days of FE:LH, can we get the shield icon back on the battlefield?
7- Why not show the defense strength next to the attack strength on the main tactical screen?
8- Pikemen and similar units should be able to impale through the city siege palisades if they are defending. Could really make sieges interesting.
9- Give Fallen Apprentices a warm-up timer so that they use Drain Life when it can really help them stay in the fight, it wastes it on the first turn frequently
10- Frost dragon very cool, but it breathes fire?!? 10 turns ok, but I have to use an action to summon?!? Auto-summon and give it an immediate action please!
11- When you get up in the fight the round flags give Round... text, Why lose the count? Change flag size to show double digits, please.
12- Death Ward spell describes a "unit", can only be cast on champions. I would argue that I can Death Ward my wolf Bailey if I like, but that is up to you.
13- Death Ward resurrected my hero, but at full health. (really ok by me...
)
14- Can we have scroll buttons if we are clicking through details in an army stack?
15- The exclamation point could be eliminated, just show the message or let us mouse over it please
16- Please color code sov skill and lore blue/green or is it green/blue in the build queue improvement descriptions; I forget which is which, I am old.
17- My wolf needs a counterattack.
18- Summon wisp is only tactical? Can the spell text mention this? EDIT:Summon Wisp is in Global book, not castable. Not in tactical spellbook at all.
19- Dark Candle does not work.
20- Moving onto a lair after victory but before victory pop up screen causes the lair not to trigger until next turn.
Thanks for the $20 bargain, this is a lot of fun!
