It appears that this is at the level of beta, meaning things work pretty well, and the core gameplay is where it should be.  Graphics and sound are supposed to be getting updates, maybe some UI tweaks, and faction re-balancing as needed.  On the side, I think they're in the infancy on team games right now, although they've hammered FFA pretty well.

Correction: I have no reason to say that team games are in their infancy, except that they've only streamed one so far.  I think they are  looking at that game mode for tweaking, but it did function well from what they recently posted.

The podcast tells me that it's worth picking up now, guess I'll find out about the multiplayer upon release. Look forward to playing.

I hear what your saying, but judging by the videos, games are relatively quick which I like, and more content means more micromanaging maybe to the point where there's too much to try and keep up with. It looks like things can get frantic and tense with the current content, too. The $5 discount swayed me a little too.

I don't play online, so I 'm very unsure whether the game is something for me or not.
As for myself, i'll wait a little bit .

From what I've seen, they made a pretty robust and personality strong AI.
