1. Random map generator started Athica on an island! SK can't touch me, except by paradropping monster rings onto my tiles. OTOH, I had to twiddle my thumbs and research the cheapest spell each time until I finally got Summon Ship. And SK got a head start on trashing shards and allying minors, all of whom are on the mainland.
Now I'm roughly Australia invading China ...
2. The 2-part abandoned village quest Hot on the Trail that ends with Endangered Hamlet is incorrectly labeled as "Weak".
- Part 1 is a "Medium" abandoned village, but it has no combat at all. If you choose to intercept the monsters, then it creates Part 2 on the map. (N.B. I could see the Part 1 village from Athica on turn 1, so it should be something appropriate for a level-1 group with no extra dudes and no sovereign spell.)
- Part 2 is a "Weak" Endangered Hamlet, but the monsters got a major upgrade. If you rush in, it has:
- 2 groups of 3 Trogs @ 27 hp and 12-14 damage, and they retaliate (but only against Heroes?)
- 2 groups of 3 Trog Archers @ 27 hp and 14-17 damage
- That's enough to kill Tandis outright if you're unlucky, and it always kills everybody else in his group. I had Bailey, Sir K, and a free Pikeman, all undamaged, and they all got single-hit killed on the first swing or shot each. I had not even finished researching my first spell yet (which was Tutelage, which would not even help during a fight).
- [Bug] Set encounters with fixed monsters have not had their strength labels updated?
- [UI-flaw] Set encounters do not compute their strength labels dynamically?
3. Archivist and Onyx Throne do not give the +1 extra skill/lore per shard connected to the city. (I assume that "connection" is the line of red dots shown whenever you select a shard or resource, similar to a GC3 shipyard sponsor line. So shards don't have to be adjacent to a city to still be connected to it.)
