The only way I can move around the Galaxy is with the arrow keys. Shouldn't the classic WASD also be implemented? Also, moving the mouse cursor to the screen edge is like hitting a brick wall!
Also, it would be nice if there was a way (maybe there is, and I just don't know how) to have the "screen" automatically follow one of your ships, as you hit the Turn button. (I am running v 0.40, the first BETA.)
Can I help you later, now is a bad time for me?
hold down the mouse button a move the mouse will move the map for you.
hold down the middle mouse button and you can rotate the map (and ship in ship designer)
<Edit added rotation>
While those suggestions probably work (I haven't tried them yet!) I still would say they ought to implement WASD AND moving cursor to edge of screen.
Thanks for the replies.
From the main menu select Options then select Input, then select what you want to change.
My preferred screen moving method is clicking and holding with the mouse button, and moving the screen around. I hate edge scrolling. The method GC3 uses is the same as GC2, which I like.

Wasn't the "Classic WASD" movement traditionally used for unit movement (and required square tiles instead of diamond or hex tiles)?
And edge scrolling tends to be problematic in windowed mode.
