Moon was huge...especially at moonrise. It looked pale to me, but wth...it's still Fri. 13th...maybe the moon got some crumby luck.
I saw a moon like that about 30 years ago. I'll never forget it! We lived in a seaside town back then and when the moon began to rise from behind the horizon it was huge and then some. My I and my g/f at the time stood and watched while it fully emerged. Talk about massive, and it had this silvery white appearance that lit up the night sky like it was almost daylight... it's reflection off the water likely contributed to this sensation.
Anyway, as we stood watching the full moon dance along the watery horizon for about 20 minutes, we also saw a shooting star flash across the bay before seemingly being extinguished in its watery grave. Like WOW, two 'heavenly' events in the one evening to fill us with awe and wonder.
Oh, and that business about wishing on a falling star.... bullshit! Those days with her were among the happiest times of my life... and despite my wish they ended roughly 5 - 6 years later. Never mind, I'd not have met Shaunna - had my wish been granted - and those days with her were even better.
Hehe, maybe wishing on a falling star does come true for the faithful... and that I made my wish on a piece of space junk re-entering the Earth's atmosphere.
