OK...
Starting my second game. First comment, great start guys, for an Alpha, it's amazingly stable so far.
- On the first turn of the game, either force players to select a technology at the start, or allow the benefits of anomalies to be "stored" if needed. Specific example, I moved my survey ship over an anomaly on the first turn before selecting research or planetary improvements and "lost" the research boost that would have been given by the anomaly.
- I'm sure this is an alpha thing, but the galaxy map needs to be fixed. right now there's inconsistent results when clicking on that view to reposition the main display.
- As an AI suggestion, when setting a scout ship to explore, prioritize setting a course toward the area around a star system vs. "empty" space. Likewise, for survey vessels, prioritize anomalies.
- Battle is obviously something that's still coming. When we get to tactical screens, allowing selection of some kind of tactics/actions, so that it's not just watching a movie it would be great.
- There's a bug in the ideology display. Sometimes when you select an ideology element, it won't allow you to commit the change. You need select the element, then change the selected ideology from the one with enough points, to another and then back again.
- In the ships display on the sidebar, fleets should be collapsed into a single expandable entity so that the display can be managed more easily once you build more ships.
Overall, very good for an Alpha release. Really need the tech tree to be visible, as right now you get no sense of what path should be taken. Also, can't wait for ship building and mining to return to the game (assuming it will).
Thanks for a great start on the game, looking forward to the updates.
