So basically I have to buy the game a 2nd time?  And the version I CAN buy already has the 2 DLC's that I bought off Steam previously?

I've bought a ton of stuff from Stardock over the years.  I feel like I'm being "gouged" when I don't even get a discounted option to have the game available to me via Steam.  I have the original game + entrenchment on my account here at Stardock...and 2 DLC's on Steam that were waiting for a happy joining of the whole.

I've had a soft-spot in my heart for Stardock for since early Windowblinds days.  And I even forgave and forgot about the Elemental issue.  They did me right when they gave me FE (and on Steam to boot).  

But this SoaSE conundrum is just wrong, and plain sad.

You could contact Stardock support for this. They can answer your questions a lot more than we could.

If you have bought anything Sins off Steam previously, then you already have everything on Steam that you could get by transferring prior purchases over; the only DLCs are those for Rebellion, which includes all content from the prior versions. Rebellion requires Steam, and you should not be able to buy the DLC without it.

If you mean you bought Entrenchment/Diplomacy through Steam, the only way to have done that is by buying Trinity (base+those two in one package). Steam has never sold those on their own. Likewise the original game itself is not available through Steam, so there is no key to be given for that.

If you only have the original game+Entrenchment+Diplomacy and are confusing Steam with GameStop/Impulse in your comments, those can be re-downloaded as standalone installers directly without any client from the Stardock Store downloads page. You can then back up those installers for later use without downloading if desired.

Thanks for all the answers gents.  Yeah I bought Trinity on Steam a while ago but didn't realize it was kind of a "combo" and not DLC for the original (isn't how Trinity first came out?).

Sometimes trying to sort out all the "which version has what" DLC's is a mess on Steam.

I learned that the hard way when trying to put together all various Europa Universalis & Hearts of Iron offerings off of Steam.

Finally, I just decided to wait till they offer things like "GOTY" editions and those kinds of packages.

So...downloading Trinity and still kind of wondering what I'm missing from Rebellion.

Yes when I  bought it, I thought it was ONLY the Diplomacy DLC.  Turns out to have been a nice mistake.

Main thing is mods. Most mods for Sins have moved to Rebellion, with many of them also cutting off Trinity support, ex. SoGE, SotP, SotF, E4X. Additionally, there are other mods that have been recently released, or are in development, that were never on Trinity to begin with, such as STA3, SW: Interregnum, and SW: Ascendancy.
