I am playing the scenario in LH (1.2) and I started taking a look around the map. I saw Gildenshard and  level 2 Lord Markin nearby the city. Out of curiosity, I clicked on him to see what he was up to in comparison to Lord Relias.

I saw that he had taken the Path of the mage (he was level two at this time-I'm early game).

Wouldn't a more suitable trait for the Ironeer people be Defender? Or is there a strategy that I am missing that makes mage a better choice for Markin?

I am always amazed at how you guys come up with great tactics and strategy on how to play, so I am interested to know if any of you guys have chosen the Mage path while playing with Ironeers.
