If you're interested in FE:LH, which costs $40, you can pick up FE for $14.99 and then get FE:LH for the discounted $20.

Frogboy has already stated that there are still some development items that would be grandfathered back into FE.

"Abandoned" meaning finished, which should be no surprise some 9 months after its release.

They've been working on the LH beta, which is out now and you can play if you preorder LH.  Once LH is done, then they'll be able to make updates to FE.
