LH Suggestion: Make number of units a bolt goes through depend on armor!

As the LH FAQ states an x-bow bolt goes through five units standing in line. Basically a nice idea. BUT seriously:

Would you expect an x-bow bolt to go through the same number of units if at least one of the first ones in line was clad in chain or full plate or had a shield as if they'd all be in leather rags? That would be the same as a fireball doing the same amount of damage to all units no matter how high their fire resistance was.

Hmm, in that case damage done would be probably not be reduced by the units' acid resistance either, I guess.

Nope because that acid resistance was way back then acid resistance and the acid discovered for the botls was more recent and thus non-resistant.

See that's what's neat about fantasy, one can write any rules they want.
