OK one thing I noticed while cruising through the monster files is a lack of life cycle ability to morph a creature. I know from previous posts that the ability to have one creature replaced by another is already in the game through the upgrade function as explained by Frogboy. I am simply asking that this be an unlocked feature for use of scripting the ability for a creature to evolve/grow up into the next form besides replacing a goodie hut after XX terms with the new form. This allows wandering monsters to grow up.
I would love for monsters to be able to found new lairs but I don't think this is possible with the current system. However if we could add the function for creatures evolve/grow up into older forms then maybe an advanced stage could found a new lair and create monster lairs.
Example
Bear Cub gets set loose by a city/outpost. Foolish outpost/city is destroyed by monster/character. Now wandering Bear Cub just levels and that is it. It will never change into a Bear. Add in the functionality for it to grow up and you then get a Bear wandering around now. This is slightly more dangerous but still reasonable. The bear could found a new lair where eventually it would grow up into cave bear with new cubs of its own.
Some of this is possible by using the replace with different lairs but this also has functionality with creature units that are trainable for factions. Spiders / Demons / Elementals could all have an evolve function that after X levels they change into the next form.
This is in response to the request for more ideas about added content and gameplay. Hope this is helpful.
