Playing Magnar (all AI Expert), I captured a Tarth village wiping out the militia. I held the Village for 30 turns or so and garrisoned with 1 slave militia after my Sovereign stepped out briefly to cut off some other Tarth unit.
Tarth attacks the village with a single Archer unit and the only defense I had was the slave militia. I was easily wiped out.
The next immediate turn I re-attacked it with my Sovereign and the village was immediately defended by the Archer and 4 Militia.
Is this normal behaviour? I can plausibly see the original inhabitants of the Village rise up to support Tarth after the fight but with 30 turns of occupation I received zero support? If this is the normal behavior when would I gain "ownership" of the village and get militia and when would Tarth stop receiving full militia for the Village? 50 turns? 100 turns? <50 unrest?
As a side commentary... The similarities between the release of FE and the release of Master of Magic are uncanny (yea I played MoM 1.0). Like MoM this game is plagued with bugs on initial release although FE may be slightly better on initial release (MoM was unplayable on initial release because of Shadow Demon crashes). Eventually MoM squashed the bugs and it became a classic and excellent game (around version 1.3). FE has so much 'potential' but until the Pioneer Spam, Obvious AI cheats, lack of Unit Pathing (grr...),and miscellaneous bugs are addressed I have no choice but to shelve it (yet again) until the next release...
