I am 11 hours into scenarios and at chapter 11
While I feel having traits over the attribute points is a good improvement FE over WOM, I think the trait are getting too long and unfocus.
Example: My Gnarri / Rihossa at level 9 / 10 can have the same trait level up options to pick like "quick" same as Relias when he was level 6 etc, no matter what Gnarri choose or specialize at before.
Also Having Lord Relias with 14 traits, and the traits will be getting even more on further leveling up, They are not inter-related and need to click the arrow down to view everything in the detail screens
My suggestion for future elemental game is too limit trait for each hero to 10 traits, once hero reach 10 traits further leveling will have the option to improve each of the traits
Example:
"Quick" replaced by "Fast" replaced by "Faster" etc
"double shot" replaced by "triple shot" replaced by "multi-shots"
"Healer" replaced by "Healer II" replaced by "Master Healer"
The benefit and rational for the idea
1) Look for much more neat and clean without the need to always click arrow down in screen etc
2) Currently Heroes feel more like "Jack of all Trade, master of none" to me, 10 traits limit will encourage focus
3) More strategic depth / choices diversity and planning, it make every trait useful for further improvement possibilities and not just "dont care" and add anyone we like better.
4) Emphasize Heroes personality with fewer 10 traits but stronger in the end. "any weird customized Mage with melee sword and +2 strength but also caster Fire mage master kind of mix heroes" is still possible with this limitation, but at least he is not too commonly seen and not as strong as other focus build heroes which is fair.
