I am finding the beta to be quite enjoyable but this one concept of the tile yields is driving me nuts. I cant understand if its some bug or a part of the game.
Basically, when I first start the game and have my sovereign selected I see all the resource yields of the tiles in my area (Grain, materials, essence)
Once I settle my city, all the yields no longer show up - I guessed because he then loses the 'Settle' ability, no big deal right?
Then as I explore around I find in the distance some more tiles that have yields showing on the map - well thats weird.... I had my sovereign selected and built no pioneers yet.
Then I build a pioneer and they too only see tiles with yields at those few distant locations my sovereign saw them, I thought I would see all tile yields across the map. But maybe I thought maybe the game prevents you from building cities close to eachother by not even displaying yields in a certain radius or something?
Also during a war one enemy captured and razed my city (in one turn btw, when if I capture a city it tells me I needed to wait 4 turns before I get the option to raze) but anyway once the city was razed I was unable to rebuild because all the tile yields of that area are missing too.
So either some really odd bug or I am not understanding how this tile yield system works?
