I was thinking for Sins of a Solar Empire 2 the player can be apart of the campaign then after the campaign the multiplayer keeps them coming back. Well if anyone has ever played the game Chromehounds what I am about to say is going to make things easier to understand. Essentially have two multiplayer modes. The basic multiplayer which is what we have right now, only with a better interface and such. Then a multiplayer with one large giant Galaxy map on a server hosted by Ironclad. You choose a side and start playing as part of a grand epic war campaign with other players on your side. You conquer and explore planets as you are one of many houses in the fight against opposing factions for control of the galaxy. Random events could happen in this universe such as the unknown enemy being a final boss, or other unknown races being discovered causing different tweaks in the gameplay. Think random events from SOTS. When the whole galaxy gets conquered by one side then the server restarts from the beginning. What do you all think about this?
