Upon completion of an early quest, in which I had to defeat a Fire Elemental to retrieve a fire staff, for a reward a fire elementalist character joined my party.  The odd thing is, however, he apparently isn't a hero, as I can't upgrade or trade items with him and I can't imbue him with powers - but he has no other skills to speak of aside from taking up room in my party.  When he first joined the notification said he had special casting abilities, but there do not appear to be any.  I wish I could remember the name of the quest, etc., but I wasn't really paying attention at the time.  It wasn't until he joined that I discovered something seems wrong about this character.  A bug perhaps?
