Do we have a release date now?(march 2012)

Lies. Stardock has said that it refuses to be bound by a release date.

It's basically just a Q1 2012 guess form the site.

The actual release date for FE doesn't really matter since by preordering you're going to get into the beta. The release date will just be whenever we get v1.0. I hope it's later rather than sooner since it means the game will get more polishing time.

I would guess that there has to be at least three months of beta. So maybe sometime after February. I will not get to play the finished version until may no matter what. So I would like them to continue development until then.

I would even be surprised if the beta was released by the end of November, like Brad said Stardock would try to accomplish.  From the little snippets we've been shown, it would seem unlikely (from a casual observer's standpoint) that the AI would be fully integrated and balanced in just over three weeks' time. 

That March release date is pure speculation.

I just want the beta now I don't care how long it takes to get to release version 1.0 as long as I have my beta to play between now and then

I would rather the AI not work so that I can learn the new build orders and economy before I get stomped.

I think the article was referring to the beta release date.  Beta in March 2012.  Final release in March 2013.

I'm hoping for some time between March and July.   I think I will have began to tire myself of Skyrim and SW:TOW by then, so I will want a switch up to TBS fun.
