Suppose Male Sovereign A has traits x and y and marries Female Spouse B with traits j and k.
In my experience, what tends to happen is that if they produce a male child C it will uniformly have traits x and y. If they have a female child D it will again have traits j and K. If they have a third male child E it will again have traits x and y.
Suppose Male child C marries female spouse F with traits m and n. Any male children from this union will have traits x and y; any female children will have traits m and n.
It seems that inheritance of traits in Elemental is not Mendelian.
Wouldn't it be more interesting if A (xy) + B (jk) could produce a child C or D with traits xj, xk, yj, yk or even xy or jk? Or even perhaps a smaller chance to produce a child with 3 traits of its parents, for example xjk or even xyk? And maybe in rare circumstances a child with the traits of both parents, xyjk.
Then C + F could produce children whose family trees, alliances, and traits really do matter instead of just looking the same.
