I'm kind of suprised with myself; I'm actually looking forward to Battlefield 3. There's so many Call of Duty and CoD-esque games out there that when I see another "modern FPS" I just write it off, but BF3 looks interesting. I'll probably wait for it to go on sale, though.

I'm also looking forward to Sins: Rebellion, but other than that there isn't much. Maybe SotS2, but I couldn't get into the first one.

Fallen Enchantress and Torchlight II.

 

I think Diablo III will be 2012 and frankly, I don't know about it. It looks great in some areas and not very good in others. Region locking is also super lame.

Crusader Kings II is going to be awesome but I think that's 2012 as well.

 

EDIT: I checked out that Skyrim. It does look pretty darn cool. Bonus points for the mammoths.

Sword of the Stars 2, although since I just discovered SOTS 1 a few months ago and am still discovering lots of new things with every playthrough, I'll likely wait until the first post-release patch before buying it.

 

I do intend to check out Skyrim, but my playtime is very limited these days, so may not purchase.

Starcraft wouldn't make a very good mmorpg imo, it would lend itself better to being an action-style mmo, maybe akin to planetside? Blizzard has already touched on a lot of the elements that would be in a Diablo mmo with World of Warcraft. So I don't think they'd make an mmo out of that simply because it would be too similiar to WoW. Galactic Civ mmo.. Eve Online with larger corporations? Heh, I'm not sure how'd that work. But anyway, interesting ideas all.

Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

Assassin's Creed: Revelations

Fallen Enchantress

Heroes of Might and Magic 6

 

Should be a good year, as far as games go.

In no particular order since I don't know how good the games will become.

 

  • Diablo III - Still play Diablo II so that was a lowoddser
  • Might & Magic: Heroes VI - Really like Heroes V so chances are I'll like it as long as it doesn't turn out as Heroes III
  • Elemental: Fallen Enchantress - You better beat Age of Wonders Shadow Magic as far as A.I and an arcadey competetive experience go!

That's all I can think of.

Even checked Webhallen for upcoming PC games but some games I'm anticipating are for 2012.
