Not true...you moved into an area i clearly said was in my sphere.
Untrue. I sent you a message telling you my intentions of taking a certain territory. You did not respond, and took the territory anyway. I reminded you of the message I had sent, informed you that you were in my land and graciously allowed you to remove your forces before I took it back from you. You then declared war on me, publicly, in this forum.
You spread like a plague irregardless of others, that is the game but don't claim and cry the innocent with me.
"Irregardless" is not an actual word. For butchering the Queen's English my lizard armies are going to invade you a second time. This shall not pass!
As for innocence, not sure what you mean. I am certainly guilty of expanding quickly, a strategy that served me well in the beginning of this game. I am innocent of all charges of aggression, however. There is no nation in this game that can accuse me of declaring war on them. I have thus far had three wars declared on me, by yourself, then by Abysia and then just this turn by Caelum. With all of my neighbours, including yourself, I have made every attempt to establish borders and maintain peace. You are the only one who did not meet me half-way, instead declaring war on me. I'm not upset about that, mind you, just stating the facts as I understand them.
As regards not attacking, wrong you invaded provinces i was in and initiated combat. You even admitted in the thread earlier that i did not attack you.
You declared war on me. I therefore attacked you, taking back only the province I had intended to take, and then trying again -- successfully, or so I thought -- to establish borders with you and establish an NAP-3. I could have pressed on and taken more of your land, and it would have been well within my right to do so, given you declared war on me. While it is true that you did not attack me (at that time), your declaration of war was a pretty clear indicator of your intention to do so. I find it highly unusual for the victim of aggression to be accused of attacking the aggressor -- this is usually considered self-defense.
Your alliance mates claimed to attack me in defense of C'tis sir...so how can it be construed that to be my fault as well?
I'm actually not really sure on the timing of all this. I think Abysia declared war on me the same turn you did, so I doubt they attacked you because you attacked me. If anything, you declaring war on me probably helped him. If he did declare war on you because of this he did not communicate this to me at any time. Perhaps he can clear this up. I was actually under the impression that he was already at war with you prior to our little engagement. Not really sure.
Similarly, with Sauromatia, though I think he did honour our alliance and attack you, I also tried to get him to stop once you and I established peace. I am not really sure why this was not successful, but I don't think you can accuse me of not being an honest broker. Perhaps Sauromatia can provide more insight, dunno. For myself, I kind of gave up on trying to help you since communications were too muddled for my taste. It simply stopped being worth my while bothering to negotiate.
As i see it you have given me nothing, while being the instigator of my demise.
I gave you peace, rather than taking advantage of the war you declared on me. I also attempted to get you peace with Sauromatia (for my own reasons, I admit). Hardly the instigator of your demise.
Anyway, I don't really consider this a big deal. I will survive your attack. I just wish I had known your intentions earlier so I could take more of your land instead of letting Abysia and Sauromatia have all the fun.
