Two bugs to report.
First, auto explore sometimes issues error messages rather than moving the unit. These error messages seem to appear when there are a lot of locations that the unit is trying to avoid (even though I, the player, can move around them) such as goodie huts that are too high level and monsters. Once an error message has been generated, the unit appears to be unable to use auto explore again, as the same error message will appear even when the unit has been manually moved to a new location.
Second, improving natural features is not always displaying correctly. They sometimes will not appear in the town queue, and sometimes are listed turn after turn as having no progress made (especially when they are not in the town queue). They do seem to end up getting improved on time, however, so long as the town is left not producing anything. That is, the improvement appears to be in the queue, but invisible.
