Windows 7 is a pain.  It's like 5 layers of security.  I think this is why business are staying away from it.

Lower right, left click the monitor looking thing  by the date/time (Network), left click open network and sharing center, windows firewall, left click allow a program or feature through fire wall, left click allow another program, put check boxes in make private & public, click ok, then go back and turn off the firewall.  NOT pretty.  Don't leave stuff on your PC you don't want hackers to have access to.  Microsoft 'still' can't get it right.  It's a freak'n game.  Games use the Internet Microsoft!  This is 2010, almost 2011, wake up.
