I am enjoying the beta so far but there is one thing nagging me at this point: Resit.
What is it? How is it derived? Is it only attainable by the OpFor?
It's only frustrating because level one grunts are resisting damage to arrows, fire/air spells, and catapults. they can be killed via melee but the battles imo are necessarily extended.
I'm about 300 seasons into 2nd game and I just finished a battle with Tarth. Irane was in this particular battle and I encountered that persistently annoying resist. I killed her with about 6 of her units still standing. After she fell, the rest of her army died and the faction was destroyed. Tarth had about 8 cities left so I expected her to escape. Is this something new or a bug?
Ok so after another 30 turns or so I notice that resist is available for both sides & my sov has it which seems to be a result of intelligence? How are troops getting it? The attribute is listed against spells. I didn't realize dragon fire was a spell and that still doesn't explain the resistance to arrows or catapults.
