this is the 1st I'm hearing of this it would be nice. However I'm sure 1.1 is more important right now. Plus modders are waiting for 1.1 to see if they're mods will work with it.

I suspect it is, Heavenfall, as it would serve the same purpose.  Obviously the issues with Launch kind of superceeded the promises made for and to modders - no point is providing avenues for additional content when the base game needed some serious attention.  I expect it to be on it's way; be patient.

I, too, am hoping to get it. I will need to learn some modeling, and I always find it easier to learn by first modifying a finished product before doing something from scratch. Also, it will be much easier to make armor if the models of the bodies that go under them are available.

Heavenfall, I'm not talking about that modders pack, I haven't heard about that one (or it didn't really register) but it sounds good.

The package I'm talking about is a bunch of content (3d models) that were made by SD's artists but didn't get put into the game for some reason (lack of time, not needed at that moment, I don't know). I can't find a dev post about it, so I guess Frogboy mentioned it somewhere in a few replies. It is mentioned here, but no real description is given. RavenX was asking about it aswel a few months ago here.

Anyway, I'm not saying that this is a priority, getting 1.1 out the door is clearly more important. But like I said before, it could be a nice boost for the modding community. Getting your own models in the game is great, but I'm no artist so I doubt thats ever going to be a real option for me. Having a lot more default content to work with would be a big help.

I don't think that's entirely fair give the capabilities given to the mod community to work with. Data file modding alone is really limited when you have no scripting or programming to go with it.

Ouch.  Ive seen a few impressive mods that have done nice things despite the limitations of the tools, and the amount of hoops people have to jump through to get more substantial modding than maps, quests, items, and simple xml tweaking done at present.  But there's no getting around the fact that the elemental player base is smaller than one might want, and therefore the % of active modders and noteworthy mods are smaller as well. 

I understand why the modding tools are more limited than the Devs had intended at this point because of issues with the game. The best thing the devs can do for elemental modding is make the core game fantastic first, to attract and energize players.  But those limitations *do* influence the type of stuff you're going to see.
