So, here we are: ~6 weeks after release, many patches later. Just yet the final one before the game play changes of 1.1x to come.

When EWOM was released (1.01 I think) I wasn't surprised that the game play was not polished and balanced as I had been part of the beta and the Beta ended before that could be done. I was surprised about the crashes and bugs that appeared, for the last Beta I tested seemed more stable. So, to sum it up I was disappointed about the state of the game - it made fun but could've been so much better. So 5-6 out of 10 points would be a fair value back then.

It got better with every patch since then and I really'd like to say that we have a great game with the last update for all the work the developers and players invested in it. But there are 3 reasons I can't say that now: 1) The OOM-crashes, 2) The bad AI and 3) The still too few convenience functions (lists, one-click functions etc.). I know that point 2+3 would've been much better if the devs not decided to make some major game play changes for 1.1x. E.g. a better AI for the old stuff would've been thrown away with 1.1x but still it would be great to call 1.0x great.

So, 7-8 points for now and great expectations for 1.1x. Once the new game play is in (sounds promising) please concentrate on the 3 points I just stated because I think that are the ones that make a quite good game great. Keep up the good work, I'll stay tuned
