I had this campaign problem too, but i ended up restarting the campaign from scratch twice because i thought it was something i did wrong!
the power supply died on my computer after it was rebooting itself all the time last week so i copied the game files and impulse over to my laptop so i can play while the computer is in for repair. When i tried to run the game it asked me to register the game which i did but then it asked me to update the game to version 109 when it already was version 109! I thought perhaps that was causing the problem in the campaign but now i see that it is not!
They put a new power supply in my computer already but are keeping it in the shop to see if it tries the rebooting thing again supposing the power supply failure was a result of some other issue.
My computer gave me quite a mystery last week with it's problem....
It actually started rebooting last month when i tried to update Impulse, but i thought the problem was fixed after i updated windows and it worked fine after that. Next time it rebooted was when i had a portable HD connected then after that it ran fine again. After that, here and there it would reboot for no apparent reason and no error log report on it was generated by windows. An occasional reboot i can handle but then it went for final jeopardy with its next move..... after initially running for a random long period of time - 4 hours/1 hour/20 minutes, it would start rebooting every minute until switched off. Only leaving it to cool down would allow another random long period of time running properly. it even rebooted while i was in the bios screen!!
So i cleaned it out... taking out all the parts and vacuum it out and all that, even swap over the ram from one slot to another. That seemed to work and it ran fine, Then i heard a noise like a thud and the computer went dead and i could smell electrical burning smell. Immediately i knew it was the power supply that blew, so i took it to the shop and they tested their power supply on it and the computer ran fine! But when i told them what the computer was doing before the power supply blew, they said it was likely some other problem was going on and the power supply failure was a secondary event. Hopefully not!
Edit: thought i was posting in someone else s thread? Twice a heading option came up, so i thought, ok fine then and shazam, new thread!
