This has been talked about a lot. How can we make the non-caster sovereigns feel more special and make them more effective (and more fun to play). My thought was to keep the mana bar (maybe rename it to stamina or something) and allow it to fuel special attacks. I'm going to list some abilities I thought of under some classes that would use them (we don't need classes, they just organize the abilities better).
Rogue
Tumble- This would allow the character to move around in an enemies SOI (sphere of influence) without stopping. Essentially I would like to see a SOI added and this ability would negate it when the stamina cost was paid for it.
Backstap- The character does extra damage when behind an enemy (or when flanking them).
Warrior
Power Strike- This adds to the damage (but not the to-hit) of the attack.
Flurry- This adds an extra attack but both attacks are at reduced damage. could target a second unit (to dispatch light units).
General
Shields Wall- The general and any adjacent friendly get +Def vs ranged attacks.
On The Double- +MOV to the general and the adjacent friendlies.
Anyway Just some thoughts.
