I curiously had the MP beta of Elemental installed when I was told by several players there was a second hotfix to 1.08 after Friday's.  I tried several times to check for updates, but Impulse failed to show any.  I tried rebooting.  Finally I figured it must be the fact I had installed the multiplayer beta, so I thought I could uninstall and reinstall Elemental from scratch, and then apply the update, but for some reason when it redownloaded and reinstalled, it re-installed the MP beta which seems to block the Saturday hotfix.

I wish there were a way to uninstall a beta update, but if that's too complex, then I don't think uninstalling and reinstalling an app should re-install beta updates.  I am now reinstalling a third time, this time with the "Show pre-release versions" unchecked ... hopefully this time it will let me get the 2nd 1.08 hotfix instead of leaving me stuck with the first one and MP and unable to update to the 2nd one.

I'm posting this as an Impulse problem rather than an Elemental one because the problem, as I see it, is with Impulse's inability to uninstall a beta patch and its behavior of reinstalling beta patches if you try uninstalling and reinstalling the base software.
