I like the changes made to range combat. Archers are actually viable now. It use to be a miss fest when using any type of ranged combat spells or bows but now WOW you are able to tear stuff up before it even gets near your heroes. I would complain about the number of non-reqruitable heros running around but I read on another post that this problem is all ready getting fixed tomorrow. Side note had a funny bug where one of my daughters age 5 was one of those non-reqruitables named Princess of Lyander I found it kinda funny watching her patroll my boarders at age 20 the NPC disapreared from the map and she was in my capital city as normal. I seen that maces and warhammers got nerfed not sure if you had to bump the warhammer down to only 5 damg though. The AI changes are very nice as well I havn't had a single enemy sovern sucide on my walls since the patch. Not sure if it is normal or a bug but when ever I take over an enemy city it allows me to build my set of buildings so I get 2 arcane 2 tech such on such on after I build my set of buildings on it. The extra starting gold mine wasn't really necessay now within a few turn it has 2 gold mines plus around turn 50 toss a palace on that and it has around 50 gold per turn by itself. Of course that is with the level up bonuses market and specialty buildings as well. Just stopped in to give you guys a thumbs up and give feed back on what I seen heading out now to start another new game to see if some of the stuff I seen was just glitched to that game.
