Ok so, I have this town down near roslyn territory named eravon. They declare war and eventually move a stack of units into position to attack eravon. I think np, I have a son in a major city with three units of what I call heavy swords 11attack 19defense so I teleport my son and the three units of heavy swords down to eravon to add to the defenses already there.
They attack, on the tactical battle field I see the full array of their force, 3 BIG units of spearman with 42attack 22defense, 8 or so units of spearman with 8attack 4defense and a hero (wimpy) 3attack 3defense
Besides the three units I brought with my sone I have only a guard 7attack 4defense, another hero 12attack 7defense and a summoned wilder 21attack 4defense(not quite sure about the wilder exact stats)
Anyway, I think to myself that perhaps I should have looked closer at the enemy stack on the strategic map because I am about to get my tail handed to me.
So the battle starts and I manuever carefully and take out about 5 of the single unit enemy stacks then I position myself and wait for the BIG stacks to move up to base base to base contact. USUALLY, you can put 2squares between yourself and the enemy and they will waltz right up and let you smak them. I figure Ill lose anyway but I try to make them manuever that 2squares and take the first hit. Well they keep jostling positions as I reposition until they get me cornered in the best defensive postion I can manage... this is where it gets strange
There is no where left I can go, there are 2squares between what troops I have left and the 3BIG enemy stacks. So, what do they do? Well, they move up ONE square and then just sit there. My son has health and mana regen so every turn he regens 4health and 2mana... I hesitantly click a turn and they immediately pass the turn back to me. I think, strange. So I hit another turn and they stay put and pass me back the turn. So, I just sit thereand regen my sons health and mana back to max.
I think, maybe if I attack they will move. So, I blast them with the area of effect arcane spell and pass them the turn. They don't budge, they just pass me the turn.. so I blast them again, pass them the turn...same thing they stay put. long story short they sat there and let me charge up my mana full and keep blasting them until they were dead, they REFUSED to move that last square and get hit first even though they would have clobbered me for little damage in return from me...
first time i ever saw that happen.
