Well first off, I'm having a lot of fun with the game. Here are some recommendations of my own.
- Dragons: I was really, really excited to get dragons. Turns out it is only a young dragon, but oh well. Still, it's rather unimpressive on the battlefield. It doesn't do much damage or have much health compared to cheaper, less-upkeep-requiring unit designs. A group of Drath trumps a single Dragon. It should also be bale to bathe an entire area in fire, and after a certain while- say, 200 turns- it should mature into an Adult dragon, and maybe one day into an Elder Dragon or something... how awesome would that be? (And i'm not just talking veteran, elite status.) Also, it sounds like every other monster in the game, and when its in a group it uses human sound effects when it gets hit, not awesome dragon SFX that I should be hearing. Which brings me to my next point...
- Sound Effects: I'm sure a lot of people have mentioned this. It's not too good. The same sound effects over, and over, and over... for every creature, the same dying sound. For every swing, the same sound. I should hear steel tearing through leather and bone, not a 'slap.' When a dragon bites some hapless guy, it shouldn't sound like a fat guy slapping his thigh, it should sound like a... well, dragon eating a guy!
- Dynasty System: Really, really clustered. It should tell you when someone has come of age and where they are at. It's also confusing to me about who gets who... I end up getting the sons of Capitar when I'm Pariden, and I married my daughter off to one of their men, but they get other sons and daughters. It seems random. If anyone knows how it works let me know. Also, the aging system seems a bit odd. My Sovereign had her first child at 21. Well, by the time my sovereign was 38, it said that my oldest child was 35... wtf? That needs a lot of work, obviously. Even if it's supposed to be "your sovereign stays young through magic', fine, cool. Doesn't mean they aren't 100 years old, even if they look 25, though.
That's all I can think of right now. It really is a great game Stardock. I'd go on about all the things I DO love but that would take a long time... and I want to get back to playing it.
