My friend Tasunke (you may have seen his posts on the forums) was really excited about Elemental some months back ago. I on the other hand was skeptical and was interested more in Civ5. However, as I learned more about both games and finding out that Civ5 is again full of DRM and I have no desire for Steam to be required to activate my game to play it. Since Elemental is a turn-based game of a similar genre and since I enjoyed FFH (mostly), I wanted to give Elemental a try.
I was busy with work and moving around and I decided to look up Elemental yesterday; I had heard there were some issues with the release, with bugs, and dissatisfaction over lack of features. I decided that I wanted to still try the game, but that I needed to wait 6 months or so before finally buying it. However, what struck me was the candor and honesty of the team about their problems. So I bought the game yesterday online on the spot, and with the 1.07 patch I haven't had any CTDs or major problems so far and have been having some fun.
Anyway, keep up the good work guys, keep being honest and straightforward, add multiplayer and the other features that need to be finished. I'll certainly be around when it comes time to make an expansion pack.
Sincerely,
Bill Bisco
