Some (or most of this) will have been noted elsewhere. It is a matter of posting what I have seen/observed as I have not had time to read much of the forum in the last week or two. Overall there are some good things going on, but their is a lot of polish and tweaks to go.
I have not had the crashes, at least not yet, from playing some 15 hours or so. I am not saying the game doesn't crash for others, just saying mine seems ok. That said, there are memory leaks all over. The game drags after 30 minutes to an hour as memory get gobbled up in midgame. I restart to flush it out, otherwise it probably would crash eventually.
I get my city labels flipping to ai cities instead quote often, which is annoying to say the least.
The AI still seems to have problems building up their cities. Perhaps from building too many right off the bat, so their isn't food for building them up.
The AI declares war when there is no realistic hope of us actually fighting. I had Capitar <sp?> declare war on me and there was no way it was getting through from the other side of the continent. They would have to go through a nation friendly to me, which they didn't have a treaty to do so, go through monster invested territory, which was fairly hopeless, or by ship, which I have never seen the ai build a ship, so they seems out.
There are too many little areas that popup when I level up on adventure. Running around the map picking up stuff is more tedious than fun. Most of the time there isn't even a fight, which would at least make it interesting, it is just picking up stuff. ZZZZZZZ
I hope entering labs and temples, etc. will eventually be more like going into a true building, clearing room to room instead of you discover a potion or whatever. Something more like a RPG.
It is a but weird that my children's avatars have white hair and look older than me! At least have them look like they are 20ish. It would be cool if their image aged over time, but that is eye candy.
I have had tactical combat lockup when moving units to where all I could do was autoresolve. I am not sure why yet, but if I figure it out, I will post it.
I have only seen 1 shard in the game thus far and have explored probably 40% of the map! Of course, the shard is on an island on the other side of the world
Why the severe limit of 1 caravan a city? At least give me two so I can build roads connecting to various factions and more complex road matrixes.
Stop spamming me with "We can build a new unit, the Archer". Evertime I get a new armor or weapon, the game adds the same unit to the list so I have to go through and delete them to keep the list clean
Can we please have a way of seeing the name of the faction then we put the mouse over their territory? I know the city have the emblem of the faction, but then I have to go look it up. Other times I may only see the border, but that doesn't tell me much. It would also be great to see the faction name superimposed on the cloth map.
Stop giving me quest locations that are over a lake, inlet, etc. that will take me forever to get to. Please take into account the land distance to get there, not as the crow flies. I haven't seen them tossed into another factions land yet with 1.06, but before it sucked not being able to go to that territory to fulfill the quest without having to declare war.
Can we get the kingdom graphs on the lower UI panel to open to a bigger screen? It is practically unreadable on 1900 x 1200.
Thanks for reading and Stardock, keep up the patching and polishing. I think there are great possibilities, but it still has a ways to go.
