I've got all the pieces of the Forge of the Overlord but I can't seem to put them together and win. I went back to the place where I originally got the quest with the pieces equipped (which doesn't seem to do anything) and unequipped, but nothing happens and the quest stays active in my quest book. I guess I should have taken the hermit's advice...
Quick comment on the quest itself: the various pieces all spawned inside my territory. It would have been much more awesome (and less easy) if they had been across the world--imagine going deep into enemy territory a la Frodo to Mount Doom. Relocate the quest pieces to be scattered across the world, but make it so that you see where the pieces are when they get placed (otherwise it would be impossible to find them), and it would be awesome.
OK, another comment on it: I beat the hermit was 'cause I had two dragons (one from the quest, one from the diplomacy tech line) who could do their full attack value as true damage. It made the last battle a bit too easy, but I'm not sure how I would have dealt with 200 attack / 100 defense otherwise (actually, I think I probably could have built up enough of an army for that).
OK, one last one: the hermit's model was kinda weird (headless grey-shirted humanoid--possible bug?) and the names of his companions seemed kind of silly. I'm guessing they are named after some of the developers but it seemed a little out of place. Just my opinion though.
I haven't seen this really discussed anywhere else on the forums yet, but perhaps my search-fu is just weak.
As a side note, awesome game, and thanks Stardock for putting it out there.
