I don;t know if this is an isue or not but no matter how much i research warfare in any game that i play but it takes well over a thousand turns before i even get basic equipment like axes and spear mean while the ai not only has that but they easily get better weapons. whats up with that?
How many tech research points do you have? It only take 3 techs in warfare to hit short swords/maces.
If you're a little low on points you need to find a library or two and then specialise the city next to them for tech research.
i am at level 12 with a ton of tech and i started with two librabrys so after so many levels in warfare i finally got basic armour and axes and spears and such is that supposed to happen?
Note that you actually have to select the weapon techs when it pops up the tech choice after research to unlock them. All your tech level does is determine how long it will take for the next breakthrough.
