I am still learning the game mechanics, but there are a couple of spells that are puzzling to me. Protect friend, and protect settlement, both imbue their target with protection from offensive spells. Since this is a game about magic, and your sovereign is a powerful magician, what's the logic behind making units/settlements immune to it? Is it simly me misunderstanding how those work? I am in general against "magic resistance" type spells or effects in games, because you spend all your time making your character uber-powerful and then someone can just laugh in your face. But at least in most RPGs, there are ways to get rid of that, how would that work in this game?
