Way too easy....

Okay, so I took the day off and really played some Elemental

 

I found that the game is really way too easy.

I played on a Huge Map with all opponents on the most difficult settings, for both the map and AI.

 The game economy starts slow, but then snowballs. Pretty soon you have all the cash and resources you need and all that with just 3 - 4 cities.

 

Then all you do is use your sovereign with some level 4 & 5 summons and a couple good troops and you whip out the AI.

 

I did not finish the game yet, since a huge map takes time, but I have about 10 cities now and no opposition.

Love the game, but was hoping 'Ridicules' setting was a little more challenging....

The developers are working to make the AI much more difficult from what I understand.

he point is making it smarter, not just harder. making a hard game is quite easy and has nothing to do with AI. the current state of the ai is just shameful imo, and i see little point in playing it until the ai reaches a "passable" state.

I updated to the lastest hotfix earlier and tried a game on 'challenging' like i always do, the AI is improved plus starting without summons really make you suffer early on. (old created characters still have access to summons books though)

If i avoid the exploits and stuff i think the A.I is quite good, Krax fought me to a stand still and then when my nation was weak and spent all the other sov's started demanding tribute! Had to quit the game as it was a complete stalemate, couldn't lose and couldn't win either.

Haven't tried it on hardest but if your saying its easy i'm going to give it a try.

I have had some games where the AI does an OK job and then one game where it never created a unit with a weapon other then a staff.

Each patch seems to improve matters so I have high hopes for the AI to stomp me into the ground in time.
