A question on mana regeneration and new spellbooks

First of all really good game, made me lose a night and many more I predict.

I'm beginning to middle game, my sovereign has 20 essence and I can research "advanced spellbook" (summoning and enchantment) out there. I only selected fire spellbook at the beginning, so I have two small questions for the beta experts:

1- I don't see how I can research base elemental spell book (dearly missing water, earth, air): aren't they supposed to be researchable?

2- How can I increase my mana regeneration (apart from the wonder out there that you can build when you have a huge metropolis)? Lot of essence is good but with 1 point of mana per turn, regen is really slow (on the other hand it makes me select my spells carefully!)

I've never uncovered elemental books from research. Possibly they can be acquired from high level quests?

You can't - to (ab)use mana regen, imbue multiple heroes with essence, 'multiplying' your mana regen rate per turn. This is about the only good way to make use of tactical combat spells, otherwise you'll waste a ton of time waiting for your sovereign to regen. With 5-10 imbued heroes, you're regenerating 5-10 mp per turn.

Since I'm fresh right out of Book 1, Is there an extra mechanic to get more essence in v1.01? Or you just spend lvl up points in it like we did in the beta?

Some magic tech give you an essence bonus, and all shard give you a 10% bonus to essence too.

I'm a bit surprised for spellbooks cause I kind of remember in the video tutorial Brad saying something like "don't worry if you don't take them all, you can always research them later..."

Mana regen on the sov or lack thereof is another thing that I think sucks. With all the items and tech you'd think it would get boosted somehow.

I don't see how better regen in a game featuring magic could be abuse.

Clicking next turn 20+ times while you gain multiple techs, spells, buildings, units, etc is abuse - abuse of the player!

Perhaps let the sovereign regen 5-10% of his max mana per turn? In the beginning you will still regen 1 point per turn, but when you are more powerfull your mana regen will be better.

But I don't understand why all my children can regen mana/hp in battle, but my sovereign can't.

I saw in a video some comments about the spellbooks. IF you want them all guaranteed pick them at Sovereign creatioin screen. Some techs do not always appear, and some of those are the ones for spellbooks.

sucks that fighter sovs can use their skills to kill mobs every turn, whereas i have to wait 15 between each.
