My single son, since my wife died before we could get another, became a unit with 81 mana. 81! My Soverign only has 55!

Holy crap lois!
Having Babies: Not pointless
It's in the first post now!
Mental note, kill my ingame wife early.
He just hit a spider for 256 damage.
Those magic items are not free. How many armies can you make with that?
Some champions being overpowered while others are worthless doesn't make the situation better, it makes it worse. They should be balanced and feel like a natural part of the game, not some weird thing you can exploit to break the game but should otherwise ignore.
wow!!
are all those rings and amulets equipped? how many items can you equip on a unit?
I don't know. I have 14000 gildar.
I still think HP need increasing. Some dude (possibly with wings and breathing fire) with say 100 attack comes along, you get a bad roll, nighty night.
I just married two in to my dynasty. They have insane stats.
One has 675 hp, 8671 defense, 1458 attack, 119 sight, 67 combat speed, etc...
It has ruined my game, to be honest.
Seems to me it indicates a range of Champions from worthless to very powerful. That sounds like fun to me. Don't want all champions to be the same.
... Unless it's so much to break the game. I haven't played yet so don't know how much these stats affect gameplay.
How on earth are worthless units "fun"? And the proper way to differentiate is with special abilities and flavor in general, not by making some horrible and others awesome.
There's way too much flakiness in Champion power.. both between Champions and between Champions and creatures/armies. Just like a Champion has no business doing 1000 damage, a Champion also has no business getting one-shotted by a group of peasants with clubs because their attack roll is a combination of all their damage, and the Champion only has 20 hp.
I don't belive the 119 sight thing...that's a lot of amulets.
And yeah, i'll probably spam more health on him wtih my infinite equipment slots. D:
Yeah, I think you did a little too much shopping for your one and only son. You spoiled him.
I don't think that can all be the game generated character, it has to be because of the buffs and items. He's probably powerful... but not quite that powerful.
Lastly, champions do need a little more balancing.
Did you mate with a Titan?
Well I found and recruited a copy of my wife champion. She had had a 'baby child' picture instead of her posing and stats like 50 int, charisma and hp. After giving her some essence I found that she also regenerated 6 hp and 3 mana per tactical combat turn.. best champion ever
Conclusion: The new champion generator goes haywire somewhere midgame..
In the first pic that's his unchanged stats. And to be fair, he has a 50 attack sword.
But still, 81 MANA! Without changing it!
Here's a picture of his unequiped stats.:
