I like Mire Skaths, Coastal Skaths, Slags, etc .... (amphibious creatures) .... I like Bone Trolls vs Trolls, and Rock Spiders vs Black Widows ... basically I like that its all there-> variety of creatures.
Initially those creatures seemed extremely strong ... and half way through the game it took me 5 tries to kill one (just with Sov) ... but by the end of the game, turn 250, with heavy plate and a combat rating over 90, I can take those Bone Troll leaders and Coastal Skag leaders 1 vs 1
... well mostly, might need two tries or a few archers to accompany me.
One thing that I wonder ... do some worlds have the Skaths and Slags and others have Wolves and Bandits? Or will all 4 enemies be present in most worlds?
Personally I prefer the Skaths and Slags if there is a choice (giant blue things and smaller dark dragon like things) ... although I could see both Slags and Bandits being in the swamps while Skaths take the coastal forests and wolves take the mainland forests (or both in the wilds fairly common.
Since Mire Skaths are much weaker, I think it would make more sense for Mire Skaths to be more common, and Coastal Skaths to be rarer ... since the Coastal version is 10x more powerful.
I like that Leader Monsters guard their lairs ... although it would be nice if there were one or two "weakling monsters" from each lair (wandering around) to kill off early game ... as most monsters early game are too strong for the needed/wanted leveling of adventurers.
Another thing ..... I think Quests should give experience!!! I ended up doing A LOT of quests, most the exact same thing ... and it would have been nice if I could have gotten some levels from it. By the end I was still about level 8, although this was primarily through multiple battles with enemy Sovereigns. And just killing other nations in general. It would be nice if people could level up without needing to kill other people (as all the monsters are too strong). Maybe a few weak monsters too (in addition to the strong ones already guarding lairs) ... that + quests giving (at least some) experience would be awesome.
