Beta 2 New Intro

hahaha

Just wanted to say the new Intro is a Classic!!! I hope you guys keep all those and release them at launch. Maybe put them on the collectors edition DvD somewhere? Awesome job, well done.

EDIT: It seems that only shift-tab make the gam ecrash. If i click "multiplayer" I can create a gmae and play vs the AI.

I haven't tried MP yet. What do you need to "Shift-Tab" for?

I think shift-tab is the command to open the Reactor overlay.

shift tab is the same thing as in Steam - it lets you see your achievements and stuff...it's the PC equivalent of the big green X button on an xbox

Indeed, I was just wondering if it was needed for multiplayer, which it doesn't seem to be. Multiplayer does need a way for those on a map together to chat too each other though.

What OS are you using? I just tried it on win7 64bit and it worked fine.

I was thinking that after first run they can leave them in, and randomly select an intro vid. Use the Legit impressive one the first couple times, then start surprising people!

What OS are you using? I just tried it on win7 64bit and it worked fine.

VISTA 32 bit. And in the previous build it worked correctly (at least it was launching. then it would crash if I wanted to click on settings. But I could chat, click friends, etc.)

I can't see the intro.. after loading, it "hangs", then I have to alt tab out and in, after that it works, although I haven't seen the intro.

I think it would be awesome to have a whole bunch of these that are based on the intro's to 3 or 4 dozen c64 games that changed randomly every time you load the game. iI think it would be amazing if there were an intro just like the one for Master of Magic!

If there were a hi-res intro, it could be shown before every new game when they are created.

They have only 2 movement animations. I's an old-style intro. Many old computers didn't have enough memory or CPU power to show a higher-quality animation.

I'm not sure that I like where these new introductions are going. They promised this game to be scalable to any PC. Yet, I had to upgrade my graphics from 16 colors to 32 colors ever since you've decided to add "green". Why, Stardock, should I have to upgrade to a 2nd generation graphics accelerator when my first one was quite capable of running Zork?
