You'll get in to beta 2 as they mentioned if you've pre-ordered the game. You can do that now and get in when b2 comes out, or you can wait for b2 to be released (there will be a window to order and get in, then it'll close again).
Remember, the betas are not fun! Beta 1 has largely been the skeleton of a game, rather then a game in itself. Beta 2 will likely have lots of MP disconnects and similar problems. If you want to test and develop the game, then by all means join us. 
But if you're looking just to play, sit out until release.
