I really like the idea of Adventure techs, and if they could some-how focus on small armies, on gathering a small party of heroes that would be great.
For instance, If I focused Primarily on Adventure techs, I would like it to feel some-what like a game of Fire Emblem, or an RPG-ish similar to that with small focused armies that can sometimes gain fodder as backup (in this case from your own kingdom) ... and where, instead of necessarily having to research equipment, your small adventuring war-party is mostly equipped with Rare Items found in chests/dungeons/caves/old city ruins ... and perhaps the occasional wandering vendor of some-sort. (at least the Heroes/Adventurers) ... perhaps even the adventuring techs allow for you to bring along better lock-picks or trap-disarmers, to make the dungeoneering a bit easier.
Not sure how much sophistication is going to be placed into the Adventure branch ... but having its own Catagory!! is a really good sign, I like it

I have basic ideas for three basic lines of tech for the adventuring tree. One being Hero specialization/item gathering/dungeoneering (stuff ive been talking about), another line for Magical Monster slaying and/or Taming/Recruitment (learn to talk with Dragons or Groglocks), and the third line being Master Quest, probably unlocking ancient relics and powerful magical tomes along the way.
