come now, don't you see:
Beta 4B: Customized tactical battle options
BETA 5
- Introduction to integrated modding
- Beta 5A: Persistent universe mods
- Beta 5B: Third-party Maya/3D Studio importing beta
- Beta 5C: Modding group testing
On that note, the map editor and tile editor were present at PAX, so obviously those will both be in rather quickly. (save games just started working, let alone loading custom maps... but button is there though. and we still only have 1 size of map. Once we have options in that department I'd assume the map editor shortly after) Once we have the 3D we'd have the tile editor (because those are totally hand-in hand as far as I can tell)
Beyond that, I'm sure bits and pieces will be offered as they come. Beta 2 is going to be online support, its very likely that we'll have more details on how maps and mods will be shared then. Because the mod sharing system must be in place to some extent for Beta 4B right?
As right now we just got the "skeleton" which doesn't sound like its editable to me. We know they can custom create their own spells already on the internal side, so once magic is implemented, I'm sure the custom system for it will be sure to follow as well, or else we wouldn't be testing it. Same goes for AI, they promised us python AI plugs so we could custom code AI...
well, Beta 1C: Initial AI system Implemented << about where we might expect it.
Beta 4C: Super-Duper AI Update to tactical battle << we must have it before here
obviously I'm just making educated guesses, but I feel the answers are right
in front of us.
